Follow Or Subscribe

As this site gears up for production on The Cabin in the Woods to get underway, we’re gradually putting some things together to make it easier to follow developments. To wit: You can now follow on Twitter or subscribe via email. This is in addition to the previously-mentioned unofficial Facebook group which we launched a couple of weeks back.

It should be noted that Twitter functionality currently should be considered experimental, since not all plugins appear to work correctly.

Site Tinkering Underway

Very little of it should be especially obvious to you along the way, but in case anyone encounters anything bizarre, it likely will be because I’m doing some work on the site. Mostly cosmetic, some functional. The most apparent addition is the new Contact This Site page, which is linked site-wide both at the top and the bottom. Beyond that, it’s mostly a matter of adding some things to the back end to make features such as the Press Mentions page easier to maintain.

Update: Before things get underway with the film itself, and therefore things start piling up here, I’ve gone back and started adding categories to the posts here. There’s a few items which are not yet categorized, but most of them should be assigned now. I’ll get an actual category list into the footer at some point in the next few days.

The Con In The Woods

Comic-Con, of course, is not in the woods, but it can be something of a wilderness of humanity. Will there be any news about The Cabin in the Woods at this year’s convention? If there is, you’ll find it either reported or linked right here. In a few hours, Its Own Sub-Genre heads to San Diego.

Update: There was no news on this front. Also, because I’m just not pushy or cut-throat enough, I failed entirely to finagle an interview about the project. By “failed”, of course, I mean “did not try”. See aforementioned lack of pushy.
